Following an investigation by Luton Trading Standards, two premises selling counterfeit and non-duty paid cigarettes have been closed.

A major programme of new road improvements to help prevent potholes from forming in the future is taking place on roads across Luton throughout the summer.

Luton Council is delighted to have received a grant of £950,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to further support the Roots to Healthy Places project.

Following an investigation by Luton Trading Standards, a Luton business has been prosecuted for selling illegal cigarettes.

Mark Fowler, who has been serving as Interim Chief Executive since April, was formally appointed to the permanent role following a Full Council meeting on 15 July.
