10/12/2025 - Luton town centre development plans set to be unveiled

We will be unveiling ambitious plans for the town centre next week – and you're invited to get involved.

The Luton town centre delivery plan sets out how, together with our partners, we're investing £1.7 billion to transform the area into a vibrant, sustainable and welcoming place.

The plan will be officially launched at an event at the Hat Factory Arts Centre on Monday 15 December. And anyone with an interest in the future of the town centre can come and find out more at an open session running from 5.30 to 7pm.

Councillor James Taylor, portfolio holder for Regeneration and Inclusive Growth, said: “This is your chance to take a look at the exciting developments coming to our town centre in the years to come.

“The delivery plan checks in on the progress we have made since the Luton town centre masterplan was published in 2021.

“It also sets out the many actions planned for the next five years which will see a transformation of our town centre. Do come along and find out more!”
