Following an investigation by Luton Trading Standards, a Luton business has been prosecuted for selling illegal cigarettes, non-compliant vapes and foreign-labelled medicines including a number of prescription-only medicines.

Luton Trading Standards has carried out a series of successful enforcement operations targeting the sale of illegal cigarettes and vapes, leading to seizures and prosecutions across the town.

Tributes have been paid to Councillor David Wynn following the announcement that he passed away at Luton and Dunstable hospital on Thursday 26 June.

On 16 June 2025, Jan Autos Limited trading in Leagrave Road, Luton, and Director Muhammad Amin, aged 39 of High Street, Dunstable, were found guilty following a trial of failing to notify consumers of outstanding manufacturers safety recalls.
