From Wednesday 2 December, Luton will be designated a tier 2 (HIGH alert) category by central government. All of Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes has been placed in the same tier and the government guidelines will apply across the whole of this area.

This December Luton Council is again working with Love to Ride to promote Winter Wheelers, an environmentally-friendly, fun event that encourages people around the globe to ride their bikes and helps to normalize winter cycling and make it more rewarding.

Businesses that have been forced to close due to the Covid-19 national restrictions from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December, can now apply for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum.

Luton council’s dog warden team have successfully retained their RSPCA Gold Stray Dog Award, which means they have now held the gold standard for seven consecutive years.
