Safety in education

We know a number of parents or carers use out-of-school settings throughout the year for their children to attend a range of activities. However, these settings are not checked so it’s important that parents know what to look out for when selecting a setting to make sure it is a safe environment for their child.

We have created a simple checklist (see leaflet below) that parents or carers can refer to help them make informed decisions.

Please can you promote the leaflet through your newsletters, websites, and emails to parents. Paper leaflets will also be distributed schools and available in public places such as libraries, community and leisure centres soon.
