18/09/2024 - Support services available for those impacted by last week’s tragic incident
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends, colleagues, teachers and fellow pupils of the victims who tragically died last Friday (13 September).
We know that many people will be impacted by this incident, and we would like to highlight to residents the support and welfare services that are available for anyone who needs it during this difficult time.
Welfare Hub
From Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 September from 9.30am to 3pm, anyone who's been impacted by last Friday’s tragic incident and needs support can visit a Welfare Hub at Unity House in Arrow Close, Marsh Farm.
Officers from a number of local organisations will be present including Mind BLMK, Housing Services, Community Safety, Social Justice Unit and Bedfordshire Police.
Mind BLMK’s Wellbeing Centre in Luton offers a range of services to support better mental health. (Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm). Tel: 0300 330 0648, email: [email protected], or visit the Mind website.
If you find yourself in crisis or need support with your mental health in the evening, the Crisis Cafe is there to listen and help 7 days a week, 5 to 11pm.
