11/11/2025 - Santa’s sleigh is set to stop off in Luton town centre

Santa’s sleigh will be stopping off at Market Hill, bringing some festive magic to Luton town centre. ‘Santa’s Sleigh Visit’ is completely free for all and will be on Saturday 29 November from 11am to 6pm.

Families and shoppers alike are invited to come along and stand underneath the magical snowfall from our snow machine to grab the perfect festive photo.

Cheeky elves will be on hand to greet families as they cause mischief and spread their Christmas cheer. The sleigh itself is fully accessible, wheelchair friendly and designed for easy access.

‘Santa’s Sleigh Visit’ follows a week on from Luton’s annual light switch-on ‘Luton Lights Up for Christmas’ in which a full day of activities and entertainment is planned including a line-up of local artists, a Paddington meet and greet and the first look at this year’s Christmas lights. Luton Rising is the headline sponsor of the switch on, in collaboration with Luton Council, Luton BID and Luton Point.

Councillor James Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Inclusive Economy at Luton Council, said: “This Christmas, we’re excited to be hosting free festive fun in Luton town centre once again, giving families the chance to create magical memories together. Santa’s Sleigh Visit is only one of several free family activities and events planned as part of our commitment to making Luton a vibrant and welcoming place this festive season.

“It’s excellent to see our outdoor spaces being used to encourage people into the town centre, with the success of Step Forward Luton’s Pumpkin Patch in Hat Gardens drawing in hundreds of families to pick their perfect pumpkin.”

This event is made possible through the United Kingdom’s Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
