The votes cast in the Stopsley Ward by-election have been counted and the results announced.

Matt Fry (Liberal Democrat Focus Team) has been elected as a councillor for Stopsley Ward.

Results:

  • Matt Fry, Liberal Democrat – 935 votes
  • Jim Cohen, Reform UK – 820 votes
  • Moazzem Hussain, Labour Party – 251 votes
  • Roger Nichols, Conservative and Unionist Party – 152 votes
  • Edward Carpenter, Green Party – 87 votes
  • Marc Scheimann, Independent – 19 votes

The overall turnout was 24.8 per cent.

The number of verified votes cast was 2,279.

The final count took place at the Town Hall and concluded at 12:30am, Thursday 4 September 2025.
