15/05/2024 - Luton Carnival 2024 Road Closures
Luton International Carnival is back for its 48th parade on Monday 27 May, with the theme ‘Luton Flying High’.
The carnival is going to be even more eco-friendly this year with additional green activities including push-and-pull floats powered by electric speakers and six e-cargo bikes which are being provided by LBC Cycling Promotion team.
The parade will launch at 1pm on Park Street in front of the University of Bedfordshire. There will be several roads closed throughout the town for the duration of the carnival procession.

There will be road closures at the following times:
8am to 3pm
- Park Street West
- Flowers Way
- Castle Street
10am to 7pm
- George Street
- Wellington Street
- Peel Street
- Upper George Street
- Dunstable Place
- Gordon Street
- Manchester Street
- Alma Link
- Alma Street
- New Bedford Road (junction with Luton-Dunstable Busway to junction with Manchester Street
- Collingdon Street (junction with Inkerman Street to junction with New Bedford Road
- St George’s Square
- Bridge Street
- Library Road
- Guildford Street (junction with Mill Street to junction with Cheapside)
- Bute Street
- Silver Street
