Luton Borough Council
21/01/2025 - Help shape local pharmacy services in Luton

Luton Council’s public health team is inviting people to share their views about local pharmacies in the town.
The consultation will help determine if there are enough pharmacies in Luton in the right locations offering suitable services to meet local needs.
The feedback from the survey will be used to help the council to draft a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment. This a statutory requirement placed on the Health and Wellbeing Board led by the council, which must be undertaken every three years. The assessment identifies pharmaceutical services currently available in Luton as well as any gaps in services and makes recommendations on future developments.
Councillor Khtija Malik, portfolio holder for public health, said: “Local pharmacies play a crucial role in preventative care as well as help to meet the health needs of our communities. It is essential that anyone who uses pharmacies have their say to help us understand if the services they receive are still meeting their needs.
“The easiest way to give feedback is by completing our survey online at engage.luton.gov.uk.”
All completed surveys must be received by 21 February 2025. For more information or if you require the survey in a different format or language, please call our Public Health Team on 01582 548898 or email [email protected].
