03/09/2025 - Get set for Luton’s Enterprise Week

Luton Council is thrilled to announce the launch of the town’s first ever Enterprise Week, running from 6 to 10 October 2025.

Already renowned for having the second highest rate of business start-ups in the country and home to major global companies, this exciting week will highlight Luton’s status as a thriving hub of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business growth.

In collaboration with local and regional organisations, the events will bring together young people, aspiring entrepreneurs, startups, established businesses, suppliers, and business support organisations for a week of inspiring talks, networking, and interactive sessions.

The programme includes:

• Inspirational keynote speakers from across the UK’s local and national business landscape
• Entrepreneur panels sharing real-world insights
• Practical workshops covering self-employment, finance, AI, digital marketing, winning contracts and more
• Launch of Luton’s Economic Growth Strategy and new Employment and Skills website
Sessions will be facilitated by Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, BLCF, Culture Trust, Cybercloud Technologies, Disability Resource Centre, DWP, Growth Hub, Just IT, Luton Council, University of Bedfordshire and WENTA.

Councillor James Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Inclusive Growth, said: “Enterprise Week marks a milestone for Luton’s business calendar, showcasing Luton’s entrepreneurial spirit, ambition and reinforces our position as a town of limitless potential and where business prospers. By creating new ideas, connecting with key stakeholders, and inspiring the next generation of business leaders, we can continue to build a thriving, resilient economy for everyone in Luton. I encourage everyone to take part in the events and activities throughout the week, as this is a fantastic opportunity to learn, share and succeed.”

Councillor Javeria Hussain, Portfolio Holder for Employability, Skills and Education, said: “As a council, we are committed to ensuring everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive. The new Connect to Work programme and our Employment and Skills website will provide vital support and resources for residents facing barriers to employment or are otherwise looking for a career change, return to employment or voluntary work. Alongside this, our education team works closely with young people who are NEET (not in education, employment, or training), providing tailored advice, signposting, and one-to-one support to help them find the right pathway into education, training, or work.”
