04/08/2022 - Dallow Ward by-election

The results of the Dallow Ward by-election have now been counted and the results published.

Alia Khan has been elected as a councillor for the Dallow ward.




KHAN, Alia                       Labour Party Candidate – 1486 votes
HUSSAIN, Basharat         Liberal Democrat – 1076 votes
AZAD NIKYALVI, Malik    Conservative and Unionist Party – 154 votes 
SCHEIMANN, Marc         Independent – 58 votes

The overall turnout was 26.9 per cent.

The number of verified votes cast was 2791.

The final count took place at The Town Hall and concluded at 12:45am, Friday 4 August.

Robin Porter, Chief Returning Officer for Luton said: "The election of a councillor is an important part of local democracy.
