Five Year Housing Land Supply

We published a five year land supply statement in October 2024. This identified a five year land supply of 3.36 years for Luton. However, the government confirmed the new Standard Housing Methodology in December 2024 which identified Luton’s housing need as 1,082 dwellings per year resulting in a five year housing land supply of 4.32 years using the same published supply data.
