Luton Borough Council
Nationally significant wildlife sites
County and district wildlife sites are spaces recognised for their wildlife value locally. County wildlife sites meet a higher threshold of biodiversity value than district wildlife sites.
There are 19 district wildlife sites and 24 county wildlife sites in Luton, though they aren't all owned solely, or at all, by Luton Council.
The sites we do own, we try to manage to improve biodiversity, where possible.
Listed below are all district and county wildlife sites within the boundary of the borough of Luton.
