Pupils transferring to upper school in September 2025

Parents of pupils in Year 8 who would like their child to attend an upper school from September 2025 must apply for a place.

The closing date for parents to apply for an upper school place for their child has now passed.

However, you can still apply for an upper school place for your child.

Please note: late applications and changes of preference will not be considered in the initial allocation of places.

If you are submitting the form to change your preference(s) and we are able to allocate one of the schools you have stated on your form, the school your child was originally allocated will immediately be withdrawn and re-allocated to another child.

Making an application using the Education Portal

You must register to the online system if you have not used the online application system in the past year. 

Once you have completed the registration, you will be able to access the system using the log in details you have used this year for any future online applications you wish to make.

If your child has not been educated in a Luton school, you will need to upload her/his birth certificate.

To find out whether you need to complete additional forms and for further information on the upper school application process, you must contact the relevant local authority’s Admissions Team.

This portal must only be used to submit applications to transfer to upper school in September 2025 (for pupils currently in Year 8).

Please note, the education portal can be used to apply online for an upper school place and to keep up to date with any changes you make to your application. 

The outcome for late applications and changes of preference for the upper school transfer will be sent to parents when a decision has been received from the relevant council.

Alternative ways to make an application

To request a copy of the Luton resident application form, please complete a school admissions general enquiry form.

The completed application form must be posted/scanned to the admissions team.
