Safeguarding children
Protecting vulnerable children is everyone’s business. We all need to be alert, know what to look out for and where to go for advice. We should also have the confidence to report any acts of abuse, safe in the knowledge they'll be followed up.

Luton's Local Safeguarding Children Board (LLSCB)
LLSCB sees all agencies working together to safeguard children from abuse and violence. See LLSCB policies, procedures, training and further information.
LSCB serious case reviews
The board is responsible for carrying out a serious case review under the following circumstances:
- abuse or neglect of a child is known or suspected
- either the child has died or the child has been seriously harmed
- there is a cause for concern as to the way in which the authority, their board partners or other relevant persons have worked together to safeguard the child
The reports are published and links to recent reviews can be found in the downloads section on this page.
Professionals should complete an early help assessment form with the family to inform a referral for the Family Partnership Service.
