Remembrance Day in Luton  

The arrangements for this year will be as follows. Full details will be updated closer to the date.

Order and service of parade

  • 10.05: Unit markers report to Parade Commander in Park Street West
  • 10.15: Organisations form up in Park Street West. Parade Commander to allocate unit positions
  • 10.40: March off towards the Town Hall
  • 10.57: Parade and Civic Party in position at War Memorial
  • 11.00: Commencement of two minutes silence; sounding of 'Last Post' Mr A Norman
  • 11.02: Sounding of 'Reveille'. Pastor L Denny to introduce each of the speakers prior to them speaking
  • 11.03: Exhortation and Kohima Epitaph
  • 11.05: Laying of wreaths by representatives of local and ex-service organisations and others
  • 11.12: Pastor L Denny to announce the hymn
  • 11.15: Reading
  • 11.18: Prayers of Intercession
  • 11.22: Memorial Prayer
  • 11.24: National Anthem (all to join in)
  • 11.26: Benediction
  • 11.28: Civic Party process around the War Memorial for the March past. The Parade forms up and marches back to Park Street West
