Luton Fireworks Spectacular

 

Luton fireworks spectacular 2024, Saturday 2 November, 6.30 to 8.30pm, Popes Meadow, Old Bedford Road, Luton. The free entry display will begin at 7.30pm. Fairground rides, hot snacks and drinks. Sponsored by Luton Rising, Step Forward Luton and Luton Council  
 

Luton Fireworks Spectacular is returning this year to Popes Meadow, where communities can come together to enjoy a stunning display of colour and light in the sky.

Date: Saturday 2 November
Time: 6.30 to 8.30pm - the free display will start at 7.30pm
Venue: Popes Meadow, Old Bedford Road, Luton, LU2 7PN

We encourage you to arrive as early as possible, from 6.30pm, to secure a good spot to enjoy the show. There will also be fairground rides for children, hot snacks and drinks.

Event details and safety

Parking is available in Town Centre car parks (many of these are free after 6pm) and accessible parking is available in the Tennis Courts Car Park (accessible via the Stockingstone Road junction).

The following roads will be closed between 5pm and 9pm on Saturday:

  • Old Bedford Road (junction with Cromwell Hill to junction with Stockingstone Road)
  • Bowling Green Lane
  • The Wickets
  • Knights Field
  • Earls Meade
  • Wardown Crescent (junction with Stockingstone Road to junction with Old Bedford Road)
  • Trowbridge Gardens
  • Greenside Park
  • Alwyn Close
  • Havelock Road (junction with North Street)
  • Havelock Rise
  • Wensleydale
  • Clarendon Road
  • Reginald Street
  • Frederick Street

Pedestrian access is via Old Bedford Road. The footpath down the side of Popes Meadow from Wensleydale will be closed from 7.10pm and the footpath from Woodbury Hill will remain closed throughout.

There will be no access to the site from Woodbury Hill or Wardown Crescent, even for pedestrians.

A car parking area for those with access requirements will be available in the car park in Wardown Park with the approach from Old Bedford Road via Stockingstone Road.

There will be restricted pedestrian access to Earls Meade and Knights Field estate.

Please keep your pets safely indoors while the display takes place.

No fireworks (including sparklers) are to be brought onto the event site.
