Lighting up Luton for Christmas 2024
Christmas comes to town!
Our annual Christmas lights switch-on, Lighting up Luton for Christmas, is returning on Saturday 23 November 2024. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and live music, in partnership with Luton BID and Luton Point.
Our special guest this year is Bluey, funded by Luton BID. In addition, Luton Point will open their Enchanted Forest Grotto on the day from 10am, so that you and your family can:
- meet Father Christmas in his log cabin
- enjoy a festive craft
- have a photo on the Woodland Throne
We promise you some great outdoor entertainment and live music on the day, from 2pm until the light switch-on at around 6pm.
More details are below and through our social media channels (see links in the footer).
Grotto session dates
- Every weekend from 23 November
- Daily from Saturday 21 December until Christmas Eve
- Quiet sessions each Sunday from 10am offering a quieter, more relaxed environment as most of the shops won’t have opened yet
Entry is free if you spend at least £20 in stores at Luton Point or make a donation to charity of £3 per child.
All money raised will be donated to The Lewis Foundation, which will provide free gift packs and support to adults going through cancer treatment.
For those visiting the grotto before 11.30am on Sundays (only), shopping receipts of £20+ will be accepted from the last three days.
