Integrated impact assessment

An Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) was carried out as part of the work on LTP5.

The IIA brings together different documents which analyse how proposed interventions might affect the environment and people, so any issues can be identified at earliest stage.

The IIA appraises how the proposed changes identified in the emerging LTP5 might affect things like:

• wildlife
• landscapes
• air quality
• noise
• water flow and quality
• climate change
• people’s health and wellbeing

These topics are explained in the report, along with other important areas of sustainability.
