Temporary road closures

The Borough of Luton (Windsor Walk)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Luton Council, the highway authority for the said borough, on 20 March 2023 made the above order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
The order will come into operation on 24 April 2023 for a period of 6 months or when the proposed works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Anticipated dates and times of closure is 24 April to 9 May 2023, from 8am to 6pm. Specific dates and times will be signed locally.
The order will therefore be in operation during such date and time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, barriers or cones.
The effect of the order will allow the council to close to vehicular traffic in Windsor Walk from its junction with Adelaide Street to its junction with Dumfries Street. Diversion route via Adelaide Street, Wellington Street, Dumfries Street. Alternative route via Dumfries Street, Hastings Street, Adelaide Street.
The order is intended to create a window for the works to be done and it is anticipated that the works will be completed over a period within the date described as above.
The purpose of the order is to allow telecom installation works to be carried out in the carriageway.
Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely whilst such works are being carried out and diversions for traffic will be marked by signs.

The Borough of Luton (Dunstable Road)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Luton Council, the highway authority for the said borough, on 20 March 2023 made the above order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
The order will come into operation on 24 April 2023 for a period of 18 months or when the proposed works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Anticipated dates and times of closure is 24 April to 12 May 2023, from 8am to 5pm. Specific dates and times will be signed locally.
The order will therefore be in operation during such date and time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, barriers or cones.
The effect of the order will allow the council to close to vehicular traffic in Dunstable Road from its junction with Hatters Way to its junction with Hazelbury Crescent. Diversion route via Hatters Way, Chaul End lane, Dunstable Road.
The order is intended to create a window for the works to be done and it is anticipated that the works will be completed over a period within the date described as above.
The purpose of the order is to allow traffic signal upgrade works to be carried out.
For the period of the closure, the order will also provide for 'no waiting and no loading' restrictions to apply within the road and length of road closed for said works. Any vehicle deemed to be in contravention of the restrictions will be issued with a penalty charge notice and removed. This will be in force when traffic signs, barriers or cones are displayed. Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely whilst such works are being carried out and diversions for traffic will be marked by signs.

The Borough of Luton (Frederick Street)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Luton Council, the highway authority for the said borough, intends to make the above order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
The order will come into operation on 12 May 2023 for a period of 6 months or when the proposed works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Anticipated dates and times of closure is 20 to 25 March 2023, from 8am to 5pm.
Specific dates and times will be signed locally. The order will therefore be in operation during such date and time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, barriers or cones.
The effect of the order will allow the council to close to vehicular traffic in Frederick Street from its junction with Old Bedford Road to its junction with William Street. Diversion route via Old Bedford Road, North Street, Dudley Street, Wenlock Street, Havelock Road.
The order is intended to create a window for the works to be done and it is anticipated that the works will be completed over a period within the date described as above.
The purpose of the order is to allow mains water works to be carried out.
Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely whilst such works are being carried out and diversions for traffic will be marked by signs.
