About the project
In addition to the restoration aspects of this project, we're also planning to enhance the surrounding greenspace for:
- the promotion of biodiversity
- local people to be more aware of the restoration of its natural heritage
We're delighted to be receiving support from the The National Lottery Heritage Fund (LHF) for this very prestigious project. The development phase is now gaining momentum with the recruitment of:
- Project Delivery Manager, Ciaran Mullan
- Community Engagement Officer, Noreen Iqbal
An essential component of the project will be public engagement with users of the park and wider residents of Luton who we hope will be inspired to get involved with the project.
We'd love you to share your views, experiences and memories of the park. This public engagement will develop an activity plan that will also support the project.
We're also seeking to build support to establish the Friends of Wardown Park group, with a range of skills, knowledge and ability to help us with this wonderful asset and vital greenspace in the heart of our town. See how to get involved further down.
