How we help

Adult social care

We help adults maintain independence and strengthen their wellbeing by providing the very best care and support. It sees us work alongside adults with physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairment, dementia, or mental health problems. Plus, we help adults at risk of harm or neglect – who can’t protect themselves.

Safeguarding adults

Our top priority is to ensure that people feel safe, and are safe. In this fast-paced team, we safeguard those who have been subject to - or are at risk of - harm and abuse. It means we often work closely with partner agencies including care/nursing homes, the police, health professionals, and the general public.

Community

Luton is brimming with different cultures and communities. And this brings interesting, varied challenges for our social care professionals. We have four multi-disciplinary teams aligned to GP clusters – each comprising of social workers, social work managers, advanced practitioners, occupational therapists, social care assessors, and sensory workers.

Whichever role you join, it’s about helping people remain independent and safe in their own homes.

Learning disabilities

We provide a community-based assessment and care management service to those living in Luton with a learning disability. People are right at the heart of what we do – so we always put them first when making decisions.

No matter what, we’re here to give our customers a voice. To provide all the support they need, and give them the best possible quality of life.

Hospital discharge

Based at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, it’s our responsibility to make sure all complex patients are referred, assessed and discharged in a safe, timely way. We work closely with other teams in a demanding, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
