Reducing health inequalities in Luton

Woman presenting at Luton conference

Luton organisations came together on the 3 July to learn from each other about actions being taken to reduce health inequalities in Luton. The event included updates from:

  • the Institute of Health Equity
  • Active Luton
  • East London NHS Foundation Trust

There were also facilitated sessions across the four priority domains being implemented within Luton:

  • supporting children and  young people
  • net zero
  • housing
  • employment and skills

There will be a further event planned later in 2023 to keep stakeholders informed and celebrate actions already undertaken.

The slides from the key notes are available below.

The Luton Marmot Report is a good source of information on health inequalities in Luton.
