A message from All In This Together (our Children in Care Council)

All In This Together (AINTT) is a group of children, young people and young adults with care experiences.  The group works with senior leaders and managers in the council to represent the views of other children, young people and young adults with care experiences.

This is a message from some of the group members:

"Before you look at the pages we want to say that being in care is not your fault. It is quite frightening and you will be both angry and sad. We know this because we have had similar experiences to you.

"What helped us when we first came into care was to know that there was a Pledge.  This lets you know what you can expect whilst you are in care of the council.  You might be concerned about seeing other family members and there are probably loads of things you want to ask.  You can find out more about what the Pledge is by clicking the link on the main Looked After Young People webpage.

"We hope these pages help a bit with how you feel. Please don't bottle it up. Try talking to someone you trust about what you are worried about.  You can always contact us with any questions you may have by emailing [email protected] and one of us will get back to you."
