War on Waste
Waste is an issue for the town in terms of the volume of waste produced and the presence of littering and fly-tipping.
Excessive waste and poor reuse and recycling uptake has a negative impact on the climate agenda and is a drain on valuable public finances. Find out how you can reduce your waste.
Litter, fly-tipping and dumped items not only make our town look dirty and messy, it also means we have less resource to keep the streets clean and tidy.
As part of the campaign, we're increasing fixed penalty notices to send a clear message that this kind of offending will be taken seriously.
You can report fly-tipping and see the scale of fines by visiting our wall of shame.
If you'd like to participate in litter picking, visit ABCD's Keep Luton Tidy campaign.
We need everyone to join the War on Waste.
How you can help
We have a number of roles in our Neighbourhood Services team.
