Register of contaminated land - Luton Council
All local authorities are required to maintain a public register of contaminated land within their borough.
What information will I find on the register?
The information kept on the register relates to regulatory action and remediation. The information which must be included on the register is specified in the Contaminated Land (England) Regulations 2000 and includes the following:
- Remediation notices
- Remediation declarations/statements
- Appeals against notices
- Designation of special sites
- Notification of claimed remediation
- Convictions for offences
