TOKKO parenting projects
TOKKO Youth Space
TOKKO youth space provides two parenting outreach co-ordinators for young mums and fathers living in Luton aged 14-24 yrs. Both projects are designed for young parents who may need support in the following areas:
- 1-1 support
- support at meetings
- advocacy
- housing and / or benefit and employment support
- couples counselling
- and more...
Young parents
Young parents are also encouraged to attend TOKKO Totz each Wednesday 12:30–2:30pm; a free, safe space for parents with toddlers to meet and children to play in the centre of Luton. TOKKO Totz is closely followed by a free Tai Chi session for young parents to assist in wellbeing and stress relief.TOKKO Totz
TOKKO Totz is a small and friendly weekly toddler session that provides free healthy snacks and squash for children. Young parents have the opportunity to work with TOKKO staff 1-1 if needed. Through weekly themed sessions TOKKO Totz provides:
- a better understanding of the Five to Thrive parenting principles
- any other offers of parenting support
- enrichment trips
- an external referral to another service if required
The services are free, confidential and open to all young parents by appointment.
