Luton Community Safety Partnership
Working together to help our community be and feel safe.
What is the Luton Community Safety Partnership?
The Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is the overall framework by which local organisations, charities, businesses, residents and community groups can work together towards the goals of helping our community be and feel safe, while visibly seeing a reduction in crime and antisocial behaviour across Luton.
The partnership is overseen by the CSP Executive, made up of statutory partners, including Luton Council, Bedfordshire Police and the Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue, Luton’s Integrated Care Board (representing NHS partners) and the Probation Service.
Luton Community Safety Partnership Plan 2024 to 2028
The partnership recognises that a multi-faceted approach to community safety is required over the long-term. The latest CSP Plan sets out our approach for the period 2024 to 2028.
The plan identifies eight priority areas for 2024 to 2028 for delivery and reporting on. These are:
- Violence and exploitation
- Safeguarding children- criminal exploitation and offending
- Domestic abuse and on street sexual exploitation
- Drugs, alcohol and mental health
- Town Centre safety
- Antisocial behaviour and environmental crime
- Hate crime and extremism
- Reducing re-offending
It is important to note that while the Partnership focuses on its identified priorities, work will continue to tackle crimes and priority issues identified by the police and other agencies within their own operating practices.
