Many Voices, One Town
Many Voices, One Town is a partnership between Luton in Harmony, Building a Stronger Britain Together and Luton Council to celebrate Luton; its young people and its culture.
Despite the attempts of some people to divide our community, as these young people show Luton is a place that celebrates its people and the things that bring us all together and make us stronger.
From Jordan Reynolds, who says that the boxing community helped him get his life on track, to Klaudia Kulakiewicz, who celebrates and shares her Polish heritage and her love of the town through Carnival, each story demonstrates what it is that makes people proud to be from Luton.

At the launch, Lloyd Denny, Chair of Luton in Harmony, spoke about how our young people are crucial to the success of Luton, using art, culture and sport to celebrate the area.
He said: “Luton is a town that has so much to offer and its young people have a huge part to play in that. Through arts, culture and sport these young people demonstrate that it doesn’t matter where you are from, rather it is that diversity that makes Luton such a wonderful and unique place.”

Jordan Reynolds
Jordan used boxing to get his life back on track and now tells his inspirational story to other young people in the community. A proud Lutonian, he made his international debut for Team GB last year and continues to dedicate time to helping other youngsters get inspired by sport.
Subhana Ali
Subhana took the decision to become a youth worker after going into the care system aged 15. She is now in the final year of her university course in youth work and feels she has defied the stereotype to get where she is today. She believes all young people have the chance to excel no matter what their background is and she works hard to empower all those she meets and to give youth a voice.
Daniel Douglas
Daniel works with Luton Town Football Club (LTFC) to show how football is a great way to get young people together and for friendships to be forged regardless of background. He shares his own experiences to help others choose the right path through life.
Adeyinka Akinrinade
Addie is passionate about Luton and through her own production company she showcases the vibrant nature of the town. She champions the involvement of local people to tell stories and would love to see Luton put on the map for its diverse arts scene.
Abdus Salaam
Abdus used cricket to overcome a difficult past and now acts as a coach and mentor to his peers in the cricketing community. Through his passion for cricket he encourages young people to never give up on themselves no matter how difficult life gets.
David and Laura Lloyd
Passionate about theatre and young people, David and Laura have combined both and created the Next Generation Youth Theatre (NGYT). They explain how the power of performance gives young people a voice and connects communities, even saving lives.
Klaudia Kulakiewicz
Klaudia moved to Luton with her family when she was six years old and says the town has shaped her into the ‘Luton girl’ she is today. She works with a local Polish group to encourage different communities to come and create together and she explains the importance of carnival to the town in doing this.
