20/09/2022 - Stoptober returns – how businesses can support employees

Stoptober 2022 banner

Stoptober is back and calling on smokers to join the 2.3 million people who have made quit attempts since the campaign’s launch 11 years ago.

Research has shown that if people quit for 28 days, they’re 5 times more likely to quit for good. Stoptober begins on 1 October and there’s never been a better time for businesses in Luton to support employees to quit.

If your business would like further information about how to promote smoke free environments and policies, plus support for your employees please contact Total Wellbeing Luton on 0300 555 4152 or by email at [email protected].

Free resources are available for business, and can be downloaded via this link to the official campaign resource centre.

Total Wellbeing Luton offer expert support and free stop smoking treatment such as nicotine replacement therapy, medication and vaping support, providing the best chances of quitting this Stoptober.

Smokers living in Luton can get free support by texting ‘Stoptober’ to 60066 or by calling 0300 555 4152 and signing up to the Stop Smoking programme.

The Stoptober app (available on the App Store and Google Play) shows how much money you’re saving, and you can subscribe to get a daily email to boost your motivation. Individuals also join the stop smoking community or receive more personal support.

Total Wellbeing Luton are also hosting a prize draw for anyone who quits smoking for 28 days with their support giving them a chance to win a Love2Shop voucher worth £150 - T&Cs apply.
