The Trading Standards Team protects the interests of consumers and businesses both in Luton and further afield.

It is responsible for enforcing a wide range of legislation including:
  • fair trading
  • safety of products
  • weights
  • measures
  • tackles rogue business using unfair and restrictive trading practices

This is aimed at protecting both consumers and legitimate business.
