Rise of the Empress: The Editors Cut

Following sell out performances of the original Rise of the Empress production, creator, co writer, director and actress Sharon De Leonardis performs the editors cut as a one woman show, exploring the key concepts, ideas and experiences that inspired the original production.

Carefully weaving between her character in the play and how her real life experiences informed the design of the show, script and characters, we are taken from the set, into the writing room and the lives, histories and experiences of being a black British woman today.
