Womens Listening Circle

Initiated by WoCiP (Women Of Colour In Policing) and launched by Detective Chief Superintendent Dee Perkins in partnership with NINE RED Presents (CIC) and hosted by the Piece by Peace Project at Leagrave Park (Sundon Park).

The monthly listening circle is for women and girls of the global majority* to speak with and share their concerns needs and issues, with an invited guest speaker who may be able to guide, support or help with their needs.

*Global Majority is a collective term that first and foremost speaks to and encourages those socalled to think of themselves as belonging to the global majority. The term 'people of the global majority' affirms non-white people's inherent power as the majority (85%) of the world's population.

It refers to people who are Black, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the global south, and or have been racialised as 'ethnic minorities'.
