Luton Music Club

Luton Music Club was founded in 1946 and has presented a series of public concerts, known as 'Music on Monday's', ever since. It is recognised as one of the leading voluntary promoters of professional chamber music in the UK.

Luton Music Club has long been recognised nationally by the classical music business as a model of its own kind. The local press has dubbed it 'the jewel in the crown' of Luton's artistic life. The club brings to the town musicians of the highest calibre, British and international, young and experienced; the quality of the concerts is second to none.

The club is unique among the other 350 or so similar clubs in the country in presenting a weekly series of 21 concerts where most offer around six. The concerts are held at the Library Theatre on Monday evenings from 7.45pm, from the end of September until the week before Easter, with a month's break at Christmas.

The Music on Mondays series offers a range of chamber music and instrumental soloists and ensembles, playing classical music from five centuries or more. The variety of instrumental sounds and of repertoire means that there is something for all tastes. The club offers unbeatable value ticket prices for top professional music to subscribers and single ticket buyers alike. Those under 18 years of age in education go FREE and very affordable concessions are available to the disabled and unemployed.

For more information pick up a brochure from one of Luton's libraries. Before and during each season the programme may be downloaded from this page.
