We've decided that we won't be implementing the Additional and Selective Licensing schemes, while we undertake a detailed review of our proposals and make any necessary changes to ensure we can drive up the standard of housing in our town.
23 May 2022 update: we've now made refunds for the revoked licensing schemes, returning the refunds to the account used in the application process. Please note that it can take up to 7 days to appear in your account.

Mandatory HMO licensing
The mandatory HMO licensing scheme continues. You'll need a licence if you own or manage a property anywhere in Luton and it is occupied by five or more persons, forming two or more households who share common amenities like a bathroom or kitchen.
