Parents of pupils in Year 2 who would like their child to transfer to a junior school from September 2024 must apply for a junior school place.

The closing date for parents to apply for a junior school place for their child has now passed.

However, you can still apply for a junior school place for your child.

Please note, late applications and changes of preference will not be considered in the initial allocation of places.

If you are submitting the form to change your preference(s) and we are able to allocate one of the schools you have stated on your form, the school your child was originally allocated will immediately be withdrawn and re-allocated to another child.

You must apply for a school place even if:

  • you have already made an earlier application direct to the school
  • your preferred school is not in Luton
  • your preferred school is a faith school, a foundation school, an academy or a free school
  • your child is attending the linked infant school

It is really important that you read our How to apply for a school place for September 2024 guide before making your application.

Making an application using the Education Portal

You must register to the online system if you have not used the online application system in the past year.

Once you have completed the registration, you will be able to access the system using the log in details you have used this year for any future online applications you wish to make.

You will be asked to upload proof of your address to the online system. (hyperlink to checklist)

If you specify Wenlock Junior School as a preference, you must also upload a completed copy of the school’s supplementary form.

For late applications received up to 8 May 2024, decisions will be sent to parents on 31 May 2024.

Applications received after 8 May 2024 will be processed in due course and the Admissions team will aim to advise parents in writing of the outcome before September 2024.
